Someone Abandoned Their Dog on My Patio!

Last week, I opened my front door and discovered a dog on my patio! Someone tossed their dog inside the front gates of my place and took off - can you believe that?!!! It definitely gave me a jolt! He was just as surprised to see me as I was to see him, of course, and was very nervous at first, but my dog, Crackers, liked him right away and helped to melt the ice, so he warmed up to me really quickly.

He’s a very sweet and good-natured boy and I would hate to have to bring him to a shelter where he has a slim chance of getting adopted because ALL of the shelters are overflowing right now. It’s really a crisis of epidemic proportions how many dogs are being found as strays or abandoned at our local “high kill” shelters and meeting the end of the road because they aren’t lucky enough to get adopted.

Long story short, I decided to start fundraising for him so that I can foster and train him and help him find a new forever home! He’s a lovely boy, but has no manners at all and could easily overwhelm someone with his mouthiness - sometimes he grabs my clothes or hands in his mouth to get my attention and doesn’t know when to stop! - and he’s never been taught not to jump on furniture, tables, or counters, as well.

He is the type of dog that often gets adopted but returned to a shelter right away because of his poor manners, and I would hate for that to happen!

If you would like to support my efforts to foster and train “Big Boy” (his new nickname) and find him a new forever home, please consider donating to my fundraiser. Your donation will go towards supplies and regular training for him which can be viewed on Youtube. Click here to check out Big Boy’s very first live training session!

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!
