My dog Bilbo and I have been taking Lexi's dog training classes for a few weeks and it's the best decision I could have made! She is extremely patient and understanding and will work with you wherever you are at. I had a lot of anxiety initially because Bilbo is reactive to other dogs but just a few weeks in, Bilbo can walk close to other dogs and not even pay attention to them. Bilbo is a much happier dog now and we are making so much progress every single week. Thanks, Lexi!

"Alexandra has helped us find ways to live our lives and at the same time help our dog feel more comfortable around other people. Highly recommend!”

For a long time, my wife and I felt completely lost about how to train our rescue Pitbull, Peanut, who had serious separation anxiety and stranger aggression. Alexandra has helped us find ways to live our lives and at the same time help our dog feel more comfortable by giving us the tools to anticipate her triggers, calm her down when she goes over threshold, and desensitize her for the next time.
A year later, Peanut isn't perfect by any means but even so, knowing that we're working toward achievable goals and seeing her improve day by day has been one of the most rewarding things I've ever done and my wife and I have Alexandra to thank for that.

"I couldn’t take normal walks without my dog before I started training with Dog Savvy. Lexi has been an absolute miracle worker for my pup and me."

Lexi has been an absolute miracle for my pup and me. I have a 10-year-old rescue that has gone through a dog attack. She was afraid of absolutely everything and had some serious aggression issues.
Lexi's approach worked from day one. The improvement was gradual, steady and permanent. We reached a point where my dog and I can really understand each other. It's been a year since we started working with Lexi. My pup is a lot more relaxed, easy on walks and has started showing signs of positive interest in other dogs.
Lexi doesn't just work on your dog, she works on your relationship and communication with your dog. My dog is more confident and so am I. Everything got easier. Having a dog got fun again!
I couldn't be more grateful for Dog Savvy Los Angeles. Thank you!

"Emmie was so reactive, we couldn’t take her anywhere. We've made great progress these past few months since meeting with Lexi."

When we brought home Emmie, an 8 month old Schnauzer/Terrier mix who was found on the streets, she had a lot of anxiety issues. We quickly realized we weren't able to "fix" them on our own. We turned to Lexi who gave us great guidance and advice on how to ease her anxiety and properly manage it.
We've made great progress these past few months since Lexi's visits and whenever we've had a setback Lexi has been available to guide us. While Emmie's anxiety isn't gone, she's getting more confident by the day. Lexi has reassured us that we are good dog owners and training a dog with Emmie's issues is hard work and should be commended.

After working with two other trainers, my Pug puppy and I found Lexi. Whew! Lexi has a depth and sensitivity towards both dogs and humans alike and understands dog psychology so well, she can quickly assess the needs of all involved, and find the best, positive, training approach. She has a huge bag of tricks and can find something that works for any dog.
Pawline, my Pug, and I could not be happier now. Free from frustration, and anxiety, my dog is the calm, well-trained companion I've always wanted. Lexi is simply...the best. I can not recommend her highly enough.

"I couldn’t walk my dog, Jax, down the street without him erupting into embarrassing barking fits. I can now take Jax on peaceful walks without him barking even once!"

A few months back I rescued a cute little 2 year old pup named Jax. I knew he had some issues with men, but I quickly realized I was not equipped enough on my own to train him out of his bad behaviors of aggressively barking at every man he saw (and shortly after adopting him, at every dog he saw), even from quite some distance away. I was lucky enough to have found Lexi, who helped me immensely. She was so flexible and willing to work around my schedule and came out of her way to meet me in my neighborhood.
Her methods are not only effective, but they also allow you to bond with your dog as you're training him/her, unlike other harsher methods. She really took her time to teach me how to train Jax based on his specific problems, and has always been available for me to ask questions about specific situations. I can now take Jax on peaceful walks without him barking even once, and he is even comfortable in crowds and will play with other dogs! I know I can count on Lexi if any other problems pop up in the future and I could not be happier with the results I've seen thanks to her help! I definitely couldn't have gotten Jax to where he is today without her.

"Alexandra has given us the tools to help Archie get over his issues that really have worked quickly."

Alexandra has been helping us with our little terrier mix Archie, we decided we needed help when we tried to walk him and he would become extremely reactive whenever he saw another dog he would go crazy lunging and barking.
With just a few sessions Alex has given us the tools to help Archie get over his issues using positive reinforcement and teaching us how to be good dog parents showing us techniques that really have worked quickly.
Alexandra has a lovely calming demeanor and we all enjoy her visits, a really positive and rewarding experience all around. Highly recommended.
UPDATE! We have been continuing with the methods Alexandra taught us and Archie has come a long way he has really flourished with these techniques and has become a much better doggy citizen!

"Lexi is an amazing dog trainer. She help us turn our out of control labrador into a model citizen. Highly recommend!
Lexi is an amazing dog trainer. She helped us take our dog Lacey from barking and pulling towards other dogs to being able to go to the dog park and reacting to dogs more calmly on leash. Her group class is very helpful and she really cares about you and your dog's progress. Highly recommend!

"We had unsuccessfully worked with other trainers on our dog’s separation anxiety in the past, but thankfully met Lexi before losing our patience altogether!"

I have nothing but positive things to say about Lexi and Dog Savvy.
As someone who grew up with dogs, I felt confident and ready to train my newly adopted 2-year-old german shepherd mix, but boy did he come with some baggage. Our pup, though loving, has lots of energy and a few major behavioral problems including isolation distress and reactivity to other dogs - which began to wear me and boyfriend down as new dog owners.
We were stuck between a rock and a hard place - our dog would react and bark/lunge at other dogs when out in the community, which made it hard for us to bring him with us anywhere, but when left alone he became very anxious and barked for hours on end.
We had unsuccessfully worked with other dog trainers in the past but thankfully met Lexi before losing our patience altogether. We began participating in both group and personal training classes with Lexie about 6 weeks ago and noted major improvements right from the start!
After a personal visit to our home, we learned from Lexie that previous trainers had incorrectly diagnosed our dog with separation anxiety vs isolation distress, which therefore made our approach to training all wrong. It is still a work in progress, but now when we leave our home our dog is much more relaxed, and we have slowly worked up to about 10 minutes of leaving without our dog showing any signs of distress (this is a huge accomplishment for him). In addition, ever since using Lexie's feed for orientation approach to dog reactivity, we no longer need a prong collar to walk our dog and have significantly reduced stress on social outings in the community overall.
I would highly recommend Dog Savvy to any new dog owner, or even older dogs/owners with behavioral issues, as I have seen improvements from both perspectives working with her. She is professional, patient, and committed to both you and your dog's success.

I have just been back in England for 3 weeks and my puppy was looked after & trained by Alexandra at our home in Los Angeles. I really want to recommend her to everyone!
When I say looked after, I mean really looked after: thoughtfully putting Moose first, teaching him everything we asked, going above and beyond with his lessons. We call her the Fairy Godmother as she comes into our puppy's life and really makes him feel good.
The quality of training is better than any we have had before with Moose. Alexandra has taken a real interest in our puppy's well-being and been there for us/him if we needed any dog related help. His progress is all down to her and he is a lovely, smart and well-trained pup.
We really did not need to worry while we were in a different country--seeing videos of his training while away and knowing he was out at the beach, on walks, at the dog park, playing with dog friends etc. Having the time of his life!
Fantastic dog trainer in LA! Reliable, trustworthy, thoughtful, caring, responsible and damn right skilled at her job. We'll be calling on her for training needs as much as possible and recommending her again and again and again. Thank you for your wonderful help!
